Bar Mitzvah & Bat Mitzvah DJ in South Florida
Bar and Bat Mitzvah receptions across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach — DJ and MC for the candle-lighting, the hora and the party after, with lighting and LED built in if you want it.
Two parties on one floor
A bar or bat mitzvah reception usually has the honoree's friends on the dance floor with the energy to stay there all night, and parents, grandparents and family friends at the tables watching the same floor. Current hip-hop and pop for the thirteen-year-olds, the hora and some Motown for the adults, and a candle-lighting that needs everyone's attention at once. None of that runs off a fixed playlist — it runs off reading the room and knowing when to give the kids their own stretch of the night and when to bring both groups together.
What's included
MC for the full run of show: the candle-lighting ceremony, the hora, the parent dance, the montage or photo slideshow, and the open floor after. We build the cue sheet with the family ahead of time so each moment lands on cue instead of the room waiting around for a signal that's late.
Lighting over the dance floor, a dedicated look for the candle-lighting, and an LED wall or screen for the montage video, when you want the room to feel like more than a DJ booth and two speakers. All of it from the same crew, on one contract.
One point of contact
English is the language of the room for most of these events, and we're glad to work directly with the temple or venue coordinator on timing. For families who split between English, Español or Português at home, we can work in those languages too.

Questions we get
Do you MC the candle-lighting, the hora and the parent dance?
Yes, those moments are most of the job. We build the run of show with the family ahead of time — who's being called up for each candle, where the hora fits against dinner service, when the parent dance happens — so the reception moves on cue instead of the room waiting around for the next thing to happen.
How do you keep the kid's friends and the adults both dancing?
A bar or bat mitzvah floor is really two parties at once. The thirteen-year-olds want current hip-hop and pop and have the energy to be on the floor all night; parents and grandparents want the hora, some Motown, something they can actually dance to in dress clothes. Reading when to run them together and when to give the kids their own stretch of the night is the actual skill, not the playlist.
Can you run a video montage or photo slideshow during the reception?
Yes. Send us the family's montage video or photos ahead of time and we handle the AV and timing so it plays at the right point in the reception, on a screen or LED wall sized to the room.
What does a bar or bat mitzvah DJ cost in Miami?
It depends on guest count, hours, and whether lighting or an LED wall is included. Send us the date and the details and we come back with a fixed quote.
How far in advance should we book?
Spring and fall are the busiest bar and bat mitzvah seasons in South Florida, and Saturdays in those windows go six to twelve months out. Outside peak season there's often room with less notice, so it's worth asking even close to the date.
Can you handle lighting and an LED wall for the candle-lighting and photo wall?
Yes. Uplighting, a dedicated look for the candle-lighting ceremony and an LED wall for the montage or a step-and-repeat all come from Evan Halls Productions, so it's one crew instead of three vendors meeting for the first time on the day.
